Which escape room haven’t we played yet?

On escapers you log the rooms you have played. Once you form a team, RoomMatch shows only rooms that no member knows – matched to location, genre, difficulty and group size.

How your team finds its next room

  1. 1

    Log your history

On any room page you mark a room as played, as a favourite or for your wish list. A review counts as played automatically.

  2. 2

    Create a team

A permanent team for your regular group or a temporary one for a single evening. Invite members by username, or let them join with a code or a WhatsApp link.

  3. 3

    Open RoomMatch

Choose who is playing. RoomMatch hides every room that one of them has already played or reviewed. Guests without an account count towards the group size.

  4. 4

    Decide together

Team wish list, team favourites and the list of rooms you played together live in one place. If you have a date in mind, providers with a connected booking system show whether anything is free.

What RoomMatch takes into account

  • The play history of all selected members, their reviews and the team’s played list
  • Location: city, region, country or a radius around a venue
  • Group size, duration, difficulty, fear factor, genre and game language
  • The same series in another city: if someone already knows a series, RoomMatch hides it on request or flags it
  • Order: team wish list first, then other players’ ratings, your favourite genres and the difficulty your team is used to
  • Type of game: room on site, escape box for home or online game

More than a list

Profile and badges

Played rooms, reviews and badges on one profile – with a year calendar and a conquest map of the cities you have played.

Reviews with weight

Players rate story, puzzles, immersion, technology, game master and value separately. A single vote is not a grade; how escapers calculates is explained on the methodology page. How escapers calculates

Friends and chat

Add friends and plan the next round in the team chat.

Games in the browser

Raum Null (one to four players) and Letzte Instanz (two to four) are online escape rooms for signed-in players; seven short mini-games come on top.

Frequently asked questions

What does it cost?

Nothing for players. Account, teams and RoomMatch are free; escapers is funded without ads and without investors.

How does RoomMatch know what we have played?

From the members’ entries: rooms marked as played, reviews they wrote and the team’s played list. The more complete the history, the better the matches.

Does everyone need an account?

For the history, yes: only members with an account bring their played rooms along. Add players without an account as guests in RoomMatch so the group size is right.

What is a temporary team?

A quick group for a single visit: create the team, share the code or WhatsApp link, done. Afterwards it can be dissolved.

Who can see our team?

You decide: a team can be public, visible by invitation only, or completely private.

What if nobody has logged anything yet?

Then use the open search: filter and compare rooms by city, genre, difficulty, group size and price – no account needed.
